Emergency network maintenance tonight

We’ve been running on our backup connection most of the day. Around 1645 GMT yesterday we failed over and remained there while the NOC researched what happened. At 0800 GMT they will be moving us back over, people may see brief outages as the routes are updated.

    I noticed the my site was a little slow – but I attributed it to my server load and not to the NOC.

    I’m just amazed to find out that we were on a backup connection most of the day. Great work guys. I’m happy that you guys care as much about our sites as we do.

    You shouldn’t notice a performance difference between carriers – contact us via the support tab in SliceManager and we’ll take a look at your server.

    I didn’t notice any slowdown either.

    I’m happy that you guys care as much about our sites as we do.

    It does feel that way, they seem to. Plus, as much as I already liked Slicehost, I started liking them even more when they hired PickledOnion and SuperJared. They also run the place in a very open and democratic way, and are genuinely interested in their customers’ pursuits, are very honest about problems and very on the ball. It’s refreshing.
