It is mainly some basic packages that you would have installed anyway such as ‘sudo’ and, for those images that are the same version (such as Debian and Ubuntu LTS), a simple update.
We will always let you know if there is a security issue that we come across.

Hooray on updated Ubuntu! No more multi-version updates for new Ubuntu slices. Thanks, and rock on.

yay, thanks. Much appreciated. Also eagerly awaiting Centos 5, although I’m tempted to just install Gutsy instead.

Is there anything those of us with images that predate these bugfixes need to know?
March 17th, 2008 at 10:00 PM DigitalHobbit
Sweet, thanks for adding Ubuntu Gutsy support!

Stubblechin,
No there is nothing to be concerned about.
It is mainly some basic packages that you would have installed anyway such as ‘sudo’ and, for those images that are the same version (such as Debian and Ubuntu LTS), a simple update.

Do you have any plans or ideas when BSD-slices will be available? Linux-based systems are the only reason I haven’t ordered a slice yet.
March 17th, 2008 at 10:00 PM SuperJared
Tom, We don’t currently have any plans for BSD. If, down the road, it becomes easier to deploy BSD we will consider it.
