Redesigns and office pics

The facelift continues! Pickled Onion rolled out newly designed versions of his world famous articles site and our network status page. We think you’ll find them more inline with the main site’s look and feel.

In the last podcast, we mentioned our new office and getting some pictures online. Shame on me for taking so long, but we now have a Slicehost Flickr account with a sampling of our new digs. It’s not quite finished, but we’re getting there!

  1. guys, your office really rocks!

  2. Your office is so shiny; how do you get any work done?

The redesigns look good, but I feel like the articles one makes it take more work to get to the articles I want to see. Maybe the tags could be located up higher on the page or perhaps a list of the ten most popular articles could be shown?

  3. Nice office, guys! Do you have just 3 people in the company? )))

  4. Woaahh! Extra-nice!

  5. Wow, I’m jealous. Nice office!

  6. Very nice looking office. Quite jealous.

  7. Woah! Nice office! I’m exceedingly jealous.

  8. Are you kidding me?! That is so freaken awesome! It looks like a classy bar!

  9. This makes me want to pay less money for my slice. How bout less marble desks, and more ram.

  10. Wow, shiny! I can’t imagine why you’d ever go home with an office like that. Careful up in the loft/meeting area, though, with no railings :o

Is it possible to get an rss feed of status.slicehost.com?

  11. Lex, feed://status.slicehost.com/feed/atom.xml

  12. Thanks! I swear I checked for a link, even looked at the HTTP headers.

  13. The status updates and articles look great!

  14. that’s just hot

  15. WooooooooooooooooooW that’s all I can say. Oh and when can I move in?

  16. Amazing new office and website update, but the new navigation font style for the articles and status sties makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

  17. Clay Johnson: you were willing to pay the same money before you saw the pics, and they never claimed they weren’t making a profit from your fees… do you expect them to be barely surviving, spending all income on newer and better servers? I for one find it encouraging to see that they’re doing well enough to be able to afford an office like this.

  18. Great looking office.

@Dan: A great shiny office is no indication they are doing well. Ever hear of the Dot Com Bomb? lol

However, after reading some of their specs, I imagine they ARE doing quite well.

10k active slices at a minimum of $20/slice means a nice little $200k per MONTH.

Great job guys. Keep up the good work. I hope you guys make millions selling $20 slices. I can’t wait until I can devote the time to move my Pair.com accounts over.

  19. They aren’t living in the bay area. This nice office is probably cheaper than a crappy office in San Francisco. Also, the office is probably not as big as it looks. They make it look big with the type of shots they take. It does look very nice though. Congrats!

  20. I am so jealous hire me. Nice looking office the team deserves some eye candy.

    Congratulations, Party!.
